HealthBread products - ready for sale at SME bakeries.
At the final HealthBread’s project meeting - 15-17th September 2014: HealthBread bakers show-cased products now available at their bakeries in Germany, Austria and Italy. While illustrating objectives completed under this FP7 project, the sale of such products goes beyond its remit. HealthBread products are being purchased by consumers in Austria, Germany and Italy convinced of their nutritional element and good taste. HealthBread bakers from the Netherlands are due to launch their products January 2015.
In celebration of this success and the promotion of a dissemination opportunity a press event also took place at the Hamburg meeting. Participants were encouraged to taste products and ask HealthBread bakers to explain their products. The President of the German Association of Artisan Bakeries and President of the International Union of Bakeries and Confectioneries (UIBC) - Mr Peter Becker accepted the first printed version of the HealthBread Baker Manual. The manual is produced in four languages and disseminated to SME bakers across Europe.
At the closing remarks of the meeting the successful completion of the project was summed up by Jan Willem van der Kamp (Project Coordinator). He said:
‘Success has been gained through dedicated research practices and scientific rigor coupled with the craftsmanship and entrepreneurial insight of SME bakers from Germany, Austria Italy and the Netherlands’.
